Hey Reader!
Back in my food broker days, we worked with dozens of specialty food brands. And if you’ve ever been inside a deli cooler, you know there’s a world of difference between the products that fly off the shelves and the ones that quietly gather mold in the back. Some cheeses sold out as soon as they were stocked. Others sat untouched, no matter how many promotions or pitches we ran.
It was a powerful lesson for me long before I ever became a coach: not every product is destined to succeed. The ones that worked weren’t always the fanciest or flashiest. They were the ones that solved a real, immediate craving. People didn’t just want them; they needed them.
Years later, when I stepped into entrepreneurship, I saw the exact same dynamic play out with offers. Some programs I created felt like they sold themselves because they met an urgent need. Others, no matter how much energy I poured into them, struggled to gain traction. Just like those cheeses, some offers were a perfect fit, while others were out of alignment from the start.
Here’s the thing most entrepreneurs don’t realize: every offer has a life of its own. Some will soar, some will flop and the sooner you learn to spot the difference, the faster you can redirect your energy toward what actually works.
That’s why, in this week’s blog and podcast, I’m sharing the 10 most common offer challenges I’ve seen in 20+ years of entrepreneurship. Because once you know these patterns, you’ll be able to identify what’s holding you back and course-correct before you waste months (or years) trying to force something that was never built to thrive.
Enjoy!
